Having earned the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) in 2009, James has shaped his client-centric, planning-first approach to investment and wealth management into a proven model which has helped his clients in achieve their financial ambitions.
He subsequently earned the designation of Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) in 2016 and in 2017 the Canadian Securities Industry granted him designation of Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI®). The FCSI® is the highest honour and most senior credential in Canadian financial services. It is reserved solely for an elite group of experienced financial services professionals who meet the highest standards for advanced education, ethical conduct, industry experience and peer endorsement.
Outside of the office James has a passion for sports and fitness which he shares with his wife Shawna, and two sons Connor, and Tyler. When not being active themselves, you can bet they’re cheering on their beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.

Financial professionals who hold the CIM designation are eligible for registration as a Portfolio Manager in Canada. They have expertise in providing money management services to high-net-worth and institutional clients, and they understand the application of portfolio management in the context of Canadian markets and regulatory requirements
